Hand Painted Crane Design on Gold Leaf
Lacquer furniture has a history that dates back
thousands of years. The skill and techniques of making this furniture has been
handed down from generation to generation.
Further to the base coat being applied, the furniture is treated to several
layers of natural lacquer. The craftsman skillfully decorates the furniture
with gold leaf before painting the fine gold coloured detail and decoration by
hand. A final lacquer coat is then applied resulting in a truly exquisite
work of art.
