This sale is for a stunning, hand painted on gold leaf, Crane design porcelain vase. The vase measures 16 inches tall.

Dear customer, please note that this item of furniture is decorated using gold leaf, the gold leaf is brushed on by hand and you might sometimes find dark patches or slight differences within the leaf, this is not a defect in the furniture but part of the character of this unique piece which occurs during the brushing on of the leaf, thanks Chris new quay-bonsai.

For thousands of year’s lacquered furniture has been part of the oriental culture. The skill and techniques of making this beautiful furniture has been handed down from many generations. After the first coat has been applied, the furniture is treated to several layers of natural lacquer. The craftsman then paints the fine artistry and decoration by hand. Mother of pearl is then crafted onto the furniture. A final coat of lacquer is then applied resulting in a truly stunning work of art.
